If passed, the change meant Tasmanian children could be among the youngest children across the country to participate in school-based kindergarten pre-school programs.
The community forum follows the proposal to lower the age from five-years-old to four-and-a-half.

The forum clashes with a health forum hosted by Health Minister Michael Ferguson at Hotel Grand Chancellor from 6pm.
