Justine Brooks-Bedelph has been appointed as the new general manager of the George Town Council.

Ms Brooks-Bedelph began work at the council in 2012 and has held the positions of municipal planner and the manager of development services.
Mayor Bridget Archer said Ms Brooks-Bedelph was committed to highlighting the rich heritage, cultural and natural values of the area.
She is also a supporter of the business, industry, tourism and agricultural sectors, and plans to develop blue prints for the future growth of the region.
“Justine holds post graduate qualifications in environmental planning, project management and business administration and is a current participant of the Tasmanian Leaders Program,” Cr Archer said.
“Justine aims to bring a fresh, innovative approach to the role and work in collaboration with all neighbouring councils to ensure the council is run in a fiscally responsible and sustainable manner.”
Ms Brooks-Bedelph will commence as general manager on the July 31.
