Storms Disability Services have partnered with the town’s bowls club, which provides free coaching for beginners. 

The three men recently graduated from their training and started competing.

“Last week … Marcus Reid had his first win. He was partnered with club coach Bill Napier who has worked with the boys since they started,” club president Jane Pickett said. 

“All three young men enjoy interacting with members and are about to join up themselves.”

Ms Pickett said bowls was an inclusive sport, welcoming everyone to the St Helens Bowls Club. 

“It can be played by people of all ages, sizes and abilities.”
