Sightings of the whales are common at this time of year as they begin their migration down south.
Bay of Fires Eco Tours shared the magical moment the pair appeared at Binalong Bay in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
“Winter is a great time to rug up and join us for an awesome experience, we get clam days and plenty of sunshine,” the post said.
Tasmanians are encouraged to phone the Whale Hotline if they spot one of the cetaceans in the coming months.
Established in 2002, the Whale Hotline plays an integral role in the Marine Conservation Program’s ability to collect data and respond to strandings.
To report a sighting to the Whale Hotline phone 0427 WHALES and use #WhalesTas on social media.
