Whitemark was place on stage two water restrictions on March 22 following ongoing dry weather which saw the island’s water storage falling to low levels.
TasWater service delivery general manager Bennie Smith said autumn rain and close water demand monitoring saw the restrictions lifted as the supply is now adequate.
“In addition, we have carried out an extensive assessment of the town’s reticulation network to identify and repair leaks in the system which is helping reduce water going to waste,” Mr Smith said.
Whitemark residents will be notified by mail of the ban lifting this week.
Mr Smith thanked the community for their cooperation.
