There are high chances of rain for the state’s centre and North on Monday but even a higher chance of rain is expected on Anzac Day.
In Launceston the Bureau of Meteorology predicts a 95 per cent chance of rain on Tuesday.
A trough will weaken over Tasmania during Monday, before a more significant trough extends over the state on Tuesday ahead of a vigorous cold front that will cross on Tuesday night.
Snow is expected to fall to 700 metres on Wednesday in the central plateau district while Launceston will see overnight temperatures falling to between 4 and 8.
