The Vermont Road crash occured just before midnight on Friday December 9.
Two of the four people hurt in the crash suffered from “significant injuries”.
The driver of the second car allegedly fled from the scene.
A 31-year-old driver from Launceston was charged on Thursdsay with causing grievous bodily harm by dangerous driving as well as offences relating to traffic, drugs and property.
He was taken into custody and will appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Thursday afternoon.
First Class Constable Nigel Housego from the Northern Crash Investigation Services said public information had assisted with the investigation.
“Police would like to thank all members of the public who have provided assistance and information during the course of this investigation,” he said.
“It has been of great value and contributed to today’s result.”
