The countdown is on for infamous Tassie band MUSTANG’s last hurrah. The band is doing its final ever run of shows this weekend, at the Brisbane Hotel in Hobart on Friday night. On Saturday they will turn Launceston’s Gunners Arms on its head with a mini-festival, Fastfest. They’ll be joined from 1pm by Warped, Desecrator, Meatbeaters, The Dukes of Deliciousness, Hownowmers, and The Styles. Tickets for the show are exceptionally limited, and it’s a fair bet that they’ll sell out (if they haven’t by the time of publishing). Grab your Fastfest tickets at Oztix.com.au for $44.90. Tickets to Friday night’s Brisbane Hotel show are available through the pub’s Oztix page.
Launceston comedy duo EMERGENCY PONCHO need your help. The act is heading off to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in May. They’re offering their hometown a preview of their festival show – for free. Catch the lols at the Royal Oak Hotel on Wednesday, April 5, from 8pm.
Looking ahead to next week, legendary Australian musician JEFF LANG is in the state for a mini tour. Lang’s Alone in Bad Company tour is promoting his latest album, of the same name. He will play at Launceston’s Royal Oak Hotel on Thursday, April 6, from 9pm. He will take the tour to Hobart’s Republic Bar the following night. Tickets for both events are available through Moshtix for $25 apiece, plus booking fees.
The April edition of WHEN SHE BELIEVES is serving up a whole lot of fresh music. The line-up this month is Susannah Coleman-Brown, Next Please, Joel on Joel, and EWAH. The show is on Friday, April 7, from 8.30pm at the Royal Oak. Entry is $5.
