Hawks captain Ashton Whiley returns after missing round one loss to Arrows but Danni Pickett is unavailable.
“We have worked this week on ensuring our intensity remains consistent this weekend for four quarters,” Northern Hawks coach Ruth Tuohy said. “Smart play with good decisions will be important against an unknown Devon side to us.”
Devon suffered a heavy 92-21 defeat at the hands of Cripps Waratah in their opening round with the Hawks going down 63-50 to last year’s premiers.
Northern Hawks 19 and unders will be looking to build and improve on their first hit out and have worked on converting centre passes more consistently and using better decision-making under pressure. “We will be keen to play well and hopefully come up with a win,” coach Kellie Tahiri said.
Cavaliers have a bye.
Northern Hawks 19 and unders play at 5pm and the opens at 6.35pm.
