We do not get a good price for the gas we sell overseas.
According to an ABC report, Asia is awash with Australian gas, purchased for half what Australians pay.
According to the report, “we are being skewered every business which uses gas is being gouged”.
Australian domestic supplies are reported to be raided to meet overseas contracts, which run to 2022.
Because of exorbitant costs and unreliability of supply of energy in this country, industrial suicide is well and truly underway.

Opposition Leader
THE elevation of Rebecca White as state Opposition leader is emblematic of everything that is wrong with politics at a state and federal level in this country.
Here we have a 34-year-old vying to become the next Premier of Tasmania, to be in control of a multi-billion dollar economy, whose career reads: university student, political staffer, elected politician; she doesn’t appear to have worked in business ever.
Unfortunately this is an all pervasive cancer in politics, where nearly all of our elected officials of all persuasions have been reared in the “political bubble”.

JBS FIRST claimed that the 130 workers stood down in February would only be out of work for a month, now say it will be longer. According to the radio, they might not hire again for another three years.
Despite the claims of there being no product they advertise for jobs and ABC news reports that there is lamb stock but the company just does not want to pay for it. Now who are we to believe?
