The crash occurred just north of Geeveston.

The male sustained head injuries and was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital about 5.30pm on Saturday.

He is in a stable condition at the RHH. 

Tasmania Police said inexperience appeared to have been a factor in the incident. 

“Police wish to remind the public of the dangers surrounding trail bikes that they may not be roadworthy and their usage in areas not designed for riding,” Tasmania Police said.
