Mount Mawson, in the Mount Field National Park, reported the summer snow via SnowSearch Australia’s webcams on Sunday.
Mount Mawson is about one-and-a-half hours’ drive from Hobart and gets regular snowfall for skiing from July to November.
The area has a small club field operated by the Southern Tasmania Ski Association operated by volunteers.
It is open to the public for downhill skiing and snow boarding.
The Great Lake Hotel in the Central Highlands has yet to get any snow.
The owners of the hotel posted to Facebook about an hour ago to say they had not received any snow yet.
