Shrugging off a four-flight journey, the students showed off their football skills in a quick display on Friday morning, before settling down to select their college subjects.
The 15 students will study in Launceston for two terms as part of a Win the World campaign designed for Brazilian students to broaden horizons, create international links and develop personal skills and abilities.
Daniele Gomes Camelo De Lima, 16, said she signed up for the program to learn and gain new experiences, undertaking a 12-month intensive English course before flying here.
College assistant principal Mark Gleeson said the students brought a fresh burst of energy to the school, where they have been warmly welcomed by their Australian fellows.
A further 15 students are at Newstead College.
