Patrick Mackrell will lead the club for the second year running with Luke Duncan to continue as captain and assume assistant coaching responsibilities.
The Parrots were knocked out of last year’s finals race by Scottsdale after finishing fourth with a 10-6 win-loss home-and-away record.
“We had 18 players under the age of 20 play for us last year so we are hoping to continue with their development and we’ve added a few new faces to the team to bolster our depth,” Mackrell said.
Rohan Bones has signed on from Clarence with a reputation as a strong-bodied ruck-forward along with former Victorian Amateur Football Association utility Corey Somerville and returning midfielder Brady Demeijer.
“Rohan will complement our other ruckman Darren Long really well, Corey can play in many positions and Brady is a former Launceston onballer who played with us a few years back,” Mackrell said. “I think the competition is going to take another step up this year so we’ll be aiming to improve on last year and see where it takes us.
“We’ll be aiming for top three.”
Rob Beams will be the club’s football manager, Richard Spencer will bench coach the seniors, Jarrad Cirkel will lead the reserves and Leigh Dyke will coach the under-18s. Pre-season training started on Tuesday.
