Slow bowler Mark Hollingsworth and opening bowler Nick Cashion, captured five wickets for only fifty runs.
The Forth Magpies took 38 overs to pass the Colt's score thanks to Tim Moore, Glenn Ellis, Mark Hollingsworth and Marcus Winter.
Forth now stays in the final four and Mersey Colts remains in second a win behind Turners Beach.
The second upset occurred at Don where the third-placed Don Steamers were defeated by the Spreyton Eagles by 41 runs. Spreyton batted and only lost four wickets for 211 runs in their fifty overs. Their last 100 runs came up in 12 overs.
Peter Fulton continued his form with 57 n/o with Damien Bell hitting a half century and Adam Haywood adding a quick fire 45 n/o at the end of the innings.
Despite the best efforts of the Steamer's batsmen, Justin Johnson, Kade Pitchford and Steve Ryan, they were all out for 170 in the 40th over.
Bottom side Sassafras enjoyed their second win of the season denting the East Ulverstone Crows' chances of making the final four.
The Red Dirters got off to a flyer with their first 50 coming up in the seventh over. Matty Wall helped with a hard hitting half-century and Ben Hawkes and Brayden Butler added valuable runs at the tail enabling them to finish at 197.
At 3/82 in reply, the Crows were in the game but they lost their last seven wickets for 53 runs.
