Victorian axemen took out the individual discipline events of underhand, double saw and standing block and then wrapped up the combined discipline team relay as the main event of the night.
They continued the form they showed at the Latrobe Carnival where they beat Tasmania to take a two-nil lead in the best-of-five series.
Eighteen-year-old Tasmanian axeman Zack Beams gave the home team its only success of the night winning the single saw event.
Competition co-ordinator and Australian under-21 team manager Dale Beams said the series was a breeding ground for future senior Australian representatives.
Five members of the strong Victorian team are already in the national under-21 team and Tasmania has two representatives in Beams and Kody Steers.
``It's the first time that we have cut an under-21 series in Tasmania but it is cut in other states and the national under-21 team competes against New Zealand at the Melbourne show every year,'' Beams said.
``In previous years we have had the likes of Stephen Foster and Joe Rattray come through the under-21 ranks into seniors.
``I've been managing the national under-21 team for 10 years now and we've got boys coming out of the under-21 team cutting in the senior team.
``It's exactly the same format we race in the seniors except in the juniors against New Zealand we have another underhand and standing block.
The Victorian team was made up of Jarrod Williams, Colin Eaton, Dale Hansford, Brayden Meyer, James Deverell, Andrew Kelly, Blake Meyer and Kyle Meyer, emergency.
The Tasmanian team members were Luke Gurr, Damien Woolley, Zack Beams, Samantha Rattray, Will Hornburg, Matthew Arnold and Kody Steers.
