“I’m quietly confident that we will do well … and punch above our weight,” he said.
While the Tasmanian Walking Company, Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife, RiverFly 1864 and the Great Eastern Drive are finalists for the 2016 awards, Mr Martin said he would like to see more entrants from the North in the state awards.
“We have to see more Northern regional products enter the Tasmanian Tourism Awards and do well and then go onto the National (awards),” he said.
The national winners will be announced on Friday, February 24 in Darwin.
