Lilium experts will be available to give advice and information to the public about growing liliums.
Northern Tasmanian Lilium Society president Vera Masciantonio is getting her stems ready for the show.
“I’ve been growing liliums since I was 12. We breed our own now as well, which is good fun,” she said.
“Liliums are flowers that depend very much on weather to grow.”
There will also be potted lilium stems and flowers for sale, a lucky door prize, raffle, floral art exhibition, photography display, plant stalls and morning and afternoon tea at the show.
“We have a non-lilium section of potted and cut flowers, and other plants for sale at the show as well,” Ms Masciantonio said.
The Lilium Show has been running since 1991 in Launceston. This year’s show will be held indoors at St Ailbes Hall on Margaret Street on Saturday, January 7, 1 to 5pm, and Sunday, January 8, 9.30am to 4pm.
