The Two Blues won 112-90, with Julian Brown setting up the win with a 23-shot defeat of Phillip Mundy.
The other big winner was Aaron Page who finished 32-19 in front of Colin Griffiths.
Jacob Brown drew with Anthony Johns 22-all.
It was once again left to veteran Greg Douce to score a rink win for the Demons.
The win by Penguin moves them into fifth position on the ladder, only five points behind Port Sorell.
Devonport almost pulled off the shock of the round pushing Burnie to within two shots.
In a close game with very small margins separating the two sides, South Burnie defeated Ulverstone, winning on three rinks.
Grant Youd had the biggest rink win, defeating Mick Oliver 23-16, and Ricky Richardson defeated Ulverstone’s top skip Sam McLean 24-19.
Luke Richardson made it three-rink wins with his 26-22 shot defeat of Eden Moore.
The Robins only winner was Tony Sutton who finished two up on Alan Carver.
Port Sorell with Aaron Jago, Rod Everett, John White and Mike KcHugo scoring as they pleased against fill-in skip Paul Harker easily defeated Spreyton by 15 shots.
The margin in Jago’s favour was 26 shots.
The big win by Jago was almost negated by Spreyton’s Mike Higginson, Philip Rockliffe, Alan Duncan and Corey Woolley who defeated Josh Marshall 30-7.
Paul Marshall kept up the pressure by defeating Murray Baulch 26-15 while Luke Marshall and Clinton Steers played a 22-shot draw.
It was the third game in succession that the Spreyton rink had played a draw.
Devonport almost pulled off the shock of the round by pushing the more-fancied Burnie combination to within two shots.
It is not unusual for the Pies to put pressure on the Tigers, but their form this season has not been as good as they would like it to be, so the close result will be a big morale booster for them.
As would be expected with a game so close there was not a lot between the rinks which were shared.
For the Pies, Ben Fidler defeated Mark Nitz 25-19, and Dean Martin finished 23-22 in front of Patrick Smith.
Winning rinks for Burnie were Tony Simpson, who had six up his sleeve against Tristan Bakes, and David Gamble held on by three to defeat Devonports leading skip Leon Webb by three.
Bowlers on the coast have a great chance to witness some of the best bowlers in Australia this week when Tasmania takes on Victoria in the annual French Holbrook five-game test series.
The test will be held at the Spreyton Bowls Club starting Sunday at 1.30 pm and continuing on Monday and Tuesday.
