Held from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on December 9, the event will see Beaconsfield’s RSL Park brimming with entertainment including jumping castles, circus workshops and miniature railways.
West Tamar Council community development officer Kaitlin Roach said the carols evening had attracted more than 500 people last year.
“Originally it was just the members of the Beaconsfield Improvement Committee who started the event and they had about 12 people in the park at Beaconsfield gathered together for a bit of a sing-along,” Miss Roach said.
“Over the years they've got into hiring a stage, hiring a proper sound system and lighting.”
Guests will receive a free sausage token for West Tamar Rotary’s barbecue and are encouraged to bring their own picnic rugs and chairs.
Tamar Valley Voices has been charged with leading the carols, with the West Tamar Municipal Band and The Tassie Tenor Joe Di Sario also set to take the stage.
“It's a lovely social environment because you end up with kids running amok having a nice time and playing, having their faces painted, it's a really lovely family night,” Di Sario said.
