With more than 130 entries, the award spruiks an array of works in a variety of mediums.
The winner of the award and $8000 recipient will be announced at a cocktail function on Friday night.
Judges Janet Carding (Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery), Vivienne Hale (UTAS) and Geoff Dobson (Burnie Regional Gallery) will use their wealth of knowledge and expertise to pick the winning entrant.
On Friday, attendees will be given the chance to tender a price on the artwork, with any money bid over the asking price being donated to Eskleigh.
Eskleigh chief executive Dale Luttrell said the exhibition was twofold.
“It allows artists to exhibit their work and win prizes, but it also builds the profile of Eskleigh and to let the public know the activities we do as an organisation,” he said.
The exhibition will be open to the public until November 6.
