The Country Tigers have only lost four wickets to date with openers Jackson Blair (163 runs) and Dion Blair (170) dominating.
“Our middle to lower order hasn’t had much of an opportunity so far but their time will come,” Adams said.
“This will be our first real test for the year and we respect them as they have got some good players.”
There will be one change to the side that piled on 346 against Trevallyn with Robert Moore to make way for Justin Curbishley.
Hadspen opener Damian Woods is the leading competition run-scorer early on with 180 runs at 62.22, while captain Liam Reynolds was pleased with young pace bowler Ash Smith and leg-spinner Matt Green’s efforts last week against Tigers.
The Chieftains will be without Alan Eadie, Paul Costello, Nick Price and Smith for the encounter.
TIGERS host Cressy at Faulkner Park with their previous Twenty20 match going down to the final over.
Cressy captain-coach Jono Goss said all-rounder Sam Graham, Josh Watson and Brody Ling were unavailable with bowler Logan Wright a chance to play. “We will be evenly matched… we will just have to bat, bowl and field well again,” Goss said.
An undermanned BEAUTY POINT are coming off a loss, while ACL brushed aside Diggers thanks to a century from coach John Kedey.
Kedey was pleased to start the 40-over season with a win but said their bowling and fielding needed work.
“This week is a big game in the context of our season, to be two-zip in the real stuff would be a really good start,” Kedey said. He said wicket-keeper Drew Clark (unavailable) would be replaced by captain Sean Barry.
Tamar Tigers captain Beau Hills said Brennan Creswell was a chance to play.
Beauty Point were rolled for just 83 on Saturday but Hills said they should soon be at full strength.
DIGGERS and Trevallyn will face-off at Hagley in what home captain-coach Paul Fruin said was a chance for his charges to redeem themselves following a poor showing last week.
“In the T20s we really performed well putting value on our wickets but we just lost the plot a bit after the first 20 overs against ACL,” he said.
“We’re certainly looking to bounce back this week when it comes to our attitude.”
Diggers will be without a plethora of talent including Adam Henderson (injury), Adam and Scott Davie (club imposed suspension) and Aaron Foster (unavailable).
Fruin said Tom Maclaren would make his Premier League debut after taking nine wickets in two A-Reserve matches. Trevallyn captain-coach Glen Gleeson said his line-up showed glimpses of good things to come last week against the reigning premiers.
