Holli competed in the girls 12 to under-16 competition in September, in Renmark, South Australia..

Ms Geeves’ father, Rick Geeves, said Holli qualified 10th in her first race, and eighth in a couple of races, but he was nevertheless proud of her achievements.

Holli said she enjoyed the experience, and said she has previously competed in the Tasmanian State Championship, finishing second in her age group.

Mr Geeves said he had no prior experience in the motorcycle sport – but supported Holli after she took an interest in motocross at the age of eight.
