The Children’s Week event encouraged families to pack some food, a picnic blanket and enjoy the free activities.
Face painting, food stalls, music and a recycling booth were just a few of the fun activities on offer.
Playgroup Tasmania chief executive Jacinda Armstrong said it was a great day for the community to have fun together.
“It’s great to see all the parents being able to enjoy this time with the kids,” Ms Armstrong said.
“Everyone is playing together which is exactly what playgroup is all about.”
Beaconsfield Child and Family Centre education officer Laura Priestley travelled to Launceston for the event and said it was a great day out.
“It’s a good opportunity for all of our kids to get out and see things that are a bit different from what we’ve got out at Beaconsfield,” Mrs Priestley said.
