The students will join 250 others from across Australia on Friday to compete in the national final of the Science and Engineering Challenge in Hobart.
The hands-on competition will see the students compete in science and engineering problem-solving activities, which will be kept secret until Friday morning.
Launceston Christian School team member Callum Watson, 16, said after months of preparation, he was excited to take on the challenge.
“I’m really keen, I can’t wait to have fun with the team and take on the challenges that come before us,” Callum said.
