Tasmania Police found the body of a deceased person within close vicinity of missing Launceston man Michael Hamlyn’s motorcycle on Saturday morning.

“A trail bike rider located Mr Hamlyn’s motorcycle this morning (Saturday) at about 10.15am whilst riding in the Fingal area,” Sergeant Scott Mackenzie said.
Mr Hamlyn was reported missing on July 11, 2016.
Police attended the scene and conducted a search of the area where the motorcycle was found.
A body was located by police within close vicinity of the motorcycle.
The body is yet to be formally identified.
Tasmania Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the person’s death.
Tasmania Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
