A 20 foot shipping container could be seen lodged against the rail bridge on the North Esk River near Hoblers Bridge on Saturday.
The river was swollen with rain that fell over the week, the tail end of the damaging storms that lashed South Australia.
The heavy rain on Thursday and Friday prompted the Bureau of Meteorology to issue several flood warnings, including for the North Esk River.
Passing traffic was pausing to look at the spectacle, which also drew interest and amusement online.
