Charlie’s Dessert House, located on Charles Street, hosted its grand opening on Saturday.
Its initial opening date had been pushed back due to delays in construction, but founder Brooke Saward finally welcomed her first customers through the door.
Serving everything from coffee and breakfast bowls to milkshakes and macaroons, Ms Saward said she was excited to offer a unique eating experience to Launceston locals.
“I’m crazy about desserts and I wanted to create something in Launceston that wasn’t a bar or a club,” she said.
Charlie’s will open from 10am to 10pm weekdays and 8am to 11pm weekends.
