Charlie’s Dessert House, inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, will offer a menu filled with sweet treats hand selected by owner and founder Brooke Saward.
The 25-year-old travel writer will be taking a break from her jet-setting to manage the restaurant which she hopes will be a unique addition to Launceston’s CBD.
“It'll be great to have something for people to do that’s not another pub or club, and somewhere they can have date night or enjoy a low key night out,” Ms Saward said.
Featured on the menu will be a mix of sugary treats, milkshakes and healthier alternatives like chilled cacao mousse and acai bowls.
Dairy free, refined sugar free and gluten free options will also be available.
The grand opening of Charlie’s, which is located in Charles Street, will be held on Saturday from 8am with the restaurant opening from 8am to 11pm weekends and 10am to 10pm weekdays.
