Launceston Kart Club member Toby Callow showed his more experienced counterparts they way in the last round of the Australian championship at the weekend at the Go Kart Club of Victoria.

Callow qualified sixth in the cadet 9 class and was able to finish a creditable fifth in the 16 lap-final setting the fastest time in the final heat. He was one of six karters from the club to compete at the championship with older brother Jackson qualifying 17th in the KA2 class with a best finish of sixth in heat four before crashing out of the final on lap 9 when rain started to fall. Lochie Dalton qualified 22nd in KA4 and finished 14th in heat 3 but also crashed out of the final. Nathan Zuj had a horrendous weekend with set up issues with his FA kart and was not able to start the final after qualifying 28th in the field of 32 in X30. Tate Frost had to battle hard in KA4 but was able to drive thru the field to finish 12th in the final after starting 30th. Alastair Lee qualified 19th in X30 with a best result of 14th in heat 1.
