On loan from Government House, the 1968 Daimler DS420 has been displayed alongside a 1927 Stutz AA8 as part of the museum’s Motoring in Tasmania display, which finished up on Sunday.
“It's lovely to be able to contribute to the museum, it goes really well with the other car belonging to another governor in the 1920s so it makes a nice display,” Professor Warner said.
“I'm totally impressed with this museum, I hadn't ever been here before and I'll be telling people about it, it's so beautifully laid out and cared for, I think it's marvellous.”
National Automobile Museum of Tasmania manager Phil Costello said the car had looked right at home alongside its 1927 counterpart.
“We were very pleased to have the old and the new and they kindly made it available and brought it up for us,” Mr Costello said.
