Prepared by Paul Hili, Katey Roman scored by three and a quarter lengths beating Broadway Miss and She’s A Trinket for third. Hili says the up-coming state’s cup carnival will be on his agenda: “Last time I took her to Melbourne with Penny’s Roman, they both didn’t travel well – they are highly strung dogs. I just want to concentrate on races like the Hobart Thousand (December) and the Devonport and Launceston Cups (January and February), first before heading back to the mainland with the two of them.”
Racing returns to Launceston on Monday with a 10-race program, with the first race at 7.44pm.
