So with 13-year-old Launceston twins Connor and Josh Hannes on the teamsheet, Launceston’s under-13 black team should do quite nicely at this weekend’s NTJSA Launceston Tournament.
Sharing a love for German powerhouse Bayern Munich, the Hannes brothers have plenty in common - but not everything.
“Josh is left foot; I'm right foot, I'm more of an attacking player and Josh is defending,” Connor said.
“We only started (playing in the same team) this year but we've been working together before then quite a lot so we can develop our skills further.”
Having moved from the mainland four years ago, the twins have spent many hours together kicking a ball in the backyard.
Who normally wins their backyard penalty shootouts?
”Me,” said Connor.
“I do,” said Josh.
