Childhood favourite Peter Pan returns to the Princess Theatre thanks to the Stage Right Youth Theatre.
Peter Pan the Musical director Danny Gibson said the show features 85 performers aged six to 17.
“Having students who are at the beginning of their theatrical journey and some others who have been in some productions means there is lots of role modelling and mentoring happening,” he said.
Students have been giving up their weekends to rehearse.
Cody Gunton, who plays Peter Pan, said he was excited to finish rehearsals and begin performing the musical alongside the cast at the Princess Theatre.
“The feel of it is really good,” the 16-year-old said.
“The vibe and the feeling of working with the cast and it finally being performed.”
Peter Pan the Musical will run from September 19 to 21.
