A finalist in the Breath of Fresh Air Young Innovator of the Year award, Ms Snooks’ pop-up stalls give Tasmanian makers the chance to showcase their high-end products in shopping centres.
“Markets are really hard to get to and lots of people don’t go to markets because they only run for a short period of time,” she said.
“The idea is...to catch someone who is just running into buy bread… and it is to give the smaller brands an opportunity to have retail selling points.”
And Co offers a variety of clothes, toys and homewares at each stall, with about 16 designers represented at the pop-up.
“We opened in November last year and we have September, October and November booked,” Ms Snooks said.
And Co is stationed at shopping centres for seven-days.
Ms Snooks hopes to pop-up across the mainland with Tasmania’s crafty creations.
The next pop-up installation will be at Meadow Mews, next to Wendy’s, from September 12 to 18.
And Co will launch their pop-up web store on Monday.
