Convened by Break O'Day councillor Janet Drummond, the group discussed the level of demand for the facility and will now set about establishing a fundraising committee to head the project. 

Cr Drummond said while the skatepark was a long-term project, she was confident it was an achievable proposition. 

“There's always a difference between people talking about it and people coming to do something in regards to it but I think it's a positive start,” Cr Drummond said. 

“It’s a long-term plan but we'll keep going forward with it and hopefully come to some resolution.”
