Sea Shepherd Tasmania conducted a clean-up on the bank of the Tamar at Royal Park on Friday.

The site was visited in May, prior to the June floods.
More than 6000 pieces were retrieved from the water during the previous clean-up.
Food wrappers were among the largest category of items removed from the river.
Greens Senator Peter Whish-Wilson said the plastic and other debris that ends up in the water was not only unsightly, it was killing marine life.
