The new hub will house alternative education programs that will help youth at risk transition into work or study.
“We’re hoping it will be utilised daily for program delivery,” said Club Officer Senior Constable Ross McIvor. “We as a community have a responsibility to protect and nurture these young people, regardless of their background.”
The facility was officially opened by Senator Eric Abetz, who said the program was a valuable community investment.
“These vital programs offer literacy, numeracy and skills preparation for participants, as well as outdoor recreation and adventure based learning,” he said.
