Michelle Geale lost her long hard fight to lymphoma cancer in June this year.
Geale said his mum’s spirit will provide a spur against Sydneysider Renold Quinlan.
“I want to dedicate the fight to mum,” he said.
“She was one of the big supporters; she was always behind me all through my career, always supported everything done, always helped me and pushed me.
“It’s sort of hard what happened with everything in the end, but you have to carry her memory on.
“We’ll do the best we can.”
It will be Geale’s first bout back since his mum’s passing.
His own personal loss postponed the scheduled fight set down for Sydney.
Geale asked to switch the IBO super middleweight title bout to the Silverdome in her memory.
“I love fighting here. I love fighting back in Tasmania; I love fighting especially in Launceston,” Geale said.
“You get the home crowd and that’s pretty special.”
