Fresh from touring the world the UK four-piece have returned with How to be a Human Being, an 11-track album showcasing a colourful panorama of synths, throbbing bass lines and digital percussion.
Catchy opening track and single Life Itself succeeds in pairing jungle drums alongside pulsating synths, while Mama's Gun builds on the psychedelic pop sounds that produced the 2014 hit Gooey.
Despite each track existing as its own experiment - the band has produced 11 standalone creations of electronic soundscapes and vocal effects - the album still manages to achieve a collective cohesion.
The Oxford outfit previewed a couple of tracks off the album to Australian crowds during a four-show tour last month.
