The appearance is part of a 14-city Australian tour with 36 showmen, supported by 81 staff and 12 semi-trailers full of equipment, starting in March next year.
The Launceston event at Aurora Stadium will be held on Saturday March 25.
The event will feature the some of the freakiest stunts in freestyle motocross, BMX and skate that have ever been achieved by daredevils with a 55-foot high ramp forming the centrepiece prop.
Some riders will be pulling out tricks on contraptions like trikes, a recliner and a bathtub and all will participate in the Nitro Bomb spectacle which will feature the tour’s riding contingent simultaneously flipping through the air.
This particular Nitro Circus Show has been performed at the world’s top venues Madison Square Garden in New York and the O2 in London.
It has drawn 45,000 to Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena.
The tour will feature Dusty Wygle who has been participating in competitive action sports since he was 15, moving into pure entertainment a few years later.
“I’ve always liked entertaining people, maybe shocking them at times, and showing people things that they thought were impossible can actually be done,” he said.
In that pursuit, he has sustained countless bruising and broken bones, however.
“That all comes with the territory,” Wygle explained.
“I’ve been relatively fortunate compared to some of my friends. Taking well-calculated risks is the name of the game.
“It all involves a lot of intuition, trial and error, and learning from your injuries.”
He said it was good to be riding at a time when technology was so advanced that it could inform the danger level associated with stunts.
Wygle has several obscure world records to his name, one of them being a record for the longest backflip on a dirt bike from a ramp to dirt landing.
He said he was particular proud of a side-by-side front flip he completed with a teammate at 80 feet a few years ago.
He and his team’s touring schedule was rough with about half of the year spent visiting countries for shows for the past six years.
There were close to 100 shows performed globally last year.
This tour is set to feature Bruce Cook, a paraplegic stuntman who will perform on a specially modified dirt bike.
Tickets to Nitro Circus in Launceston will go on sale on October 16.
