Alderman Danny Gibson is selling a rare, giant teacup from an Alice in Wonderland production from one of his earliest youth theatre productions.
"I'm hoping my teacup attracts some healthy bids - it certainly has a history, and any money raised will benefit those less fortunate in our community," Alderman Gibson said.
All proceeds from the City of Launceston Aldermen auction will be donated to the Ravenswood Child and Family Centre.
Alderman Emma Williams is auctioning an item with vast environmental benefits - a can crusher.
Registrations for the Garage Sale Trail open on August 10.
