The Saints (fifth) defeated the Eagles (fourth) for the second time this season and will face them in a must-win battle in two weeks’ time.
The contest was evenly-matched throughout as Evandale took a slender nine-point lead into the final stanza, but it was St Pats that eventually prevailed 7.8 (50) to 5.16 (46).
