The Saints, in conjunction with club sponsor Shaw Contracting, collected $13,000 for Beyondblue from a marquee match against Perth in June, a subsequent function and a Go Fund Me campaign.
The concept was sparked in 2015 by St Pats reserves player Joeby Sadler following the death of his mate, aged just 26. “We didn’t think it would be as big as it was the first year and the way it has gone has been pretty unbelievable,” he said.
“It keeps getting bigger and better.”
Club president Ian McCallum said the annual effort is equally about awareness as it is money.
