Mustang Owners Club of Australia state coordinator Rodney Johnstone said more than 50 cars would arrive for a car enthusiast get together at Fraggle's Fish & Chips.
“Last time we had a magnificent and original Oldsmobile, early 60s Oldmobile, absolutely chrome and just fascinating,” he said.
“We’ve had Pontiacs, we’ve had Thunderbirds, we’ve had Buicks. We had a beautiful X-L Falcon which is the first Falcon made, in absolutely original condition, just a really rare car.”
Mr Johnstone said the club had about 200 members in Tasmania and 3500 Australia-wide.
“We are the biggest single make car club in Australia and we have been in existence five decades and we are actually the longest existing car club in Australia,” he said.
The Mustang Owners Club of Australia will be at Fraggle's Fish & Chips in Mowbray this Saturday, July 30 from 12.30pm onwards.
