Paul Griffin, of the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees' Association, said that shops at Launceston, Devonport and George Town would close within two weeks.
According to signs in shopfront windows, the George Town store will close on Saturday, the Prospect store closes on Sunday, and Launceston's CBD store will close on October 27.
The Devonport store is also due to close next week.
At this stage, the Legana store will remain open.
Mr Griffin said there had been no indication whether the remaining Tasmanian stores would close.
It is understood the owners of Chickenfeed, Retail Adventures, will be making an announcement regarding the future of its remaining stores today.
