NINE state records were broken at winter regional championships over the weekend. Hobart Aquatic’s Stefanie McCarthy set new Tasmanian and all-comers records for 12 years 400m (4.33.71) and 200m freestyle (2.14.05). Sophie Botterill-James (14 years 100m butterfly), Michael Boult (17 years 200m breaststroke) and Mollie Bailey (13 years 200m backstroke) also broke records.
