The Bush Tucker Trail will run along the northern bank of the Meander River and will be characterised by plant beds showcasing Tasmanian Aboriginal bush tucker and concrete pavers with Indigenous symbols.
Meander Valley mayor Craig Perkins said he hoped the trail would be a drawcard for Tasmanian, interstate and overseas visitors.
“Colony 47 have worked with the community to come up with an initiative that can help tell a story of bush tucker,” Cr Perkins said.
“We believe it presents a nice project with ongoing community participation.”
