Seven of the 10-players selected were part of the national team that took to the greens for the worlds in 2012 where Van Asch combined with NSW bowler Kelsey Cottrell to win the world pairs title in Adelaide.
Australian Open player of the tournament, Natasha Scott, who won the singles and reached the semis of the pairs and fours, will slot into the middle order of the triples and fours, while women’s pairs champion Van Asch will look to add to her record as Tasmania’s only world bowls champion, as skip of the triples and second in the fours.
Cottrell will attempt to reclaim her women’s pairs title, leading for Murphy this time instead of Van Asch, and will also call the shots as skip of the fours.
