The Two Blues took home a one point win over the Circular Head Giants courtesy of a behind after the siren off the boot of forward Mathew Smith.
In a low scoring and physical game, both teams dominated at times but it was Penguin forcing thew ball forward in the dying seconds and scoring the win 6.13 (49) to the Giants 6.12 (48).
Both sides were inaccurate in front of goal but with the scores tied in the final minute, Penguin got the ball forward and into the hands of Smith and after the siren went it was all up to him.
Chris McDonald booted two goals as well while Woody French kicked two late goals in the final quarter for the Giants.
Ulverstone were far too good at home for Wynyard, winning 15.13 (103) to the Cats 5.3 (33).
Dylan Grandfield booted three goals for the Robins as did Claye Sculthorpe while Chad Morris, Joel Bellchambers and Bryce Heazlewood kicked two each.
East Devonport notched another big win with an 106 point win over Burnie at Girdlestone Park.
The Swans won 18.17 (125) to the Dockers 2.7 (19) with Hayden Reid booting four majors.
Jack Triffett and Nick Milbourne each kicked three goals while Sam Borlini, Mark Marriott and Rhys Laycock each kicked two.
In the final game on Saturday Latrobe were too strong for Devonport, winning 24.17 (161) to the Magpies 12.4 (76). Ryan Keep booted eight goals for the Demons while Josh Holland kicked three.
